I hate the ugly, dated yellow ceramic tile in my 1958 house! I can’t afford a remodel to have it all torn out but am desperate for a change!

HI Renee. You can buy special epoxy paint for bath room tile. I would go to your local hardware store and see what they have to offer.

Have you thought of Self Adhesive tiles- come in many colours and styles...

YES!! Rustoleum makes a product just for that purpose. It's oil paint and it stinks but it covers beautifully. I used it on teal and gold tiles and it took 2 coats with a roller. Very little time and investment to be rid of the ugly 80's!

Yes you can. I painted plastic pink 4x4 tiles from my 1940s ranch. I hope yours isn’t in the shower/tub area. If it is you might want to do a test on a random tile that you can paint and submerge in water to test for peeling. You might have to remove any glaze.

Yes. I painted my bathroom tile using a primer called Gripper sold at Home Depot. You must use a primer for shiny surfaces first before using your paint. I bought Behr satin finish paint and it has turned out fine. I did not paint around the tub/shower so I don’t know for sure if it would last In that area. My bathroom is very small and I have taken many hot showers and the steam has not affected my painted walls at all. Key is to use the primer made especially for glass or shiny surfaces. Hope this helps.
