Persistent moles

Some yrs. are worse than others. A master gardener has said that grubs are

not what moles eat. We have had the best luck with poison worms but don't

touch with bare hands, use gloves so they don't smell human touch. Also poke with a broom handle in the runs until you hit a soft spot where the

handle goes down further so the moles will be more likely to eat the worm.

My husband is a farmer and this is what he has learned from trial and error,

all this has really worked for us. We live in northern IN.

Shove a moth ball every 5 - 8 inches into their tunnel. They hate the smell and it will chase them out of your yard. Works like a charm!

Put double entendres gum in the mole hole and they will eat you it and go to kole Heaven

Get a garden windmill that has a center rod that goes at least two feet into the ground. The fan creates vibrations that drive the moles bonkers, and they'll leave. That's what we did. We had mole tunnels all over the backyard until a friend gave us the windmill. Within two weeks all the moles were gone, and they haven't returned in six years.
