First you need to take it apart carefully and use the removed fabric as a pattern for your new material. I would watch a bunch of utube videos and / or take a class. It can be done, but it is an art and requires a bit of time and patience.

You did not post a picture of the recliner, but many styles to reupholster, also require access to a sewing machine. Some of the pieces, depending on the curves, often need to be sewn together before they are re-attached back on to the frame.
