Why get rid of them? They are beautiful and good luck, and they are not harmful at all! I am all for the preservation of every life form, but if you are adamant on getting rid of them, this info might help. /entomology.ca.uky.edu/ef416
Ladybugs are good luck and how lucky you are, except that they've now invaded the house. You need to find where they're going in. I never could, so I just did a winter caulking routine. I had an infestation and sucked them up with a dry/wet vac then released them outside after I'd caulked. The stragglers I just captured and released outside by hand. They are very beneficial.
This too will pass. Keep vacuuming for now
you can't believe me I have tired, but I did seal up my home better, and now they hardly get in, check out where they may be getting inside your house. I live in an old church I renovated myself years ago, and I had a problem with them, but I finally figure out that they were getting in through the outside lap siding, and getting into the wall, and then eventually escaping through my canister lights. I made glass covers for the lights, but now they have a whole fixture that you can plug into the light socket and then hang the light in the can, and it will prevent entry as well. You just need to locate where they are coming in and seal it up the best you can, but there is no spray or anything that I know of that will kill them from my experience anyway. Hope this helps
Ace hardware, beetle bags. $10. Can be reused. There is a Ziplock on bottom of bag to clean out or empty. Scent disc at top smells like flowers, they get intoxicated by the scent and fall into the bag. Plastic stuff at top keeps them from flying out. Empty from bottom. I keep mine open just enough so if it rains it drains out. I put the discs in a ziplock and rinsed out the bag holders for next year. Cannot believe how many I got. Neighbors all got them when they saw how successful, they were. Also they say there will be lots more next summer due to the larvae surviving the winter. Good luck!
