My daughter made a tie dye shirt at camp, how do i wash it?

She made a beautiful 100% cotton tie-dye shirt and I'd feel horrible if, once I washed it, that it wouldn't be the same. I've looked online and I see so many different ways that I don't know which is best. PLEASE HELP!

Wash it by itself, and see if the color runs, you can't help that. If it seems OK, then wash it with the other clothes. Whatever temperature you use to wash it at first, should be the temperature you use for all the clothes. I think it's not going to run, but it depends on the dye they used.
By hand to see what happens. If Ok. Next time use hotter water. If still no colour run. should be ok............
Wash in very cold water. What kind of dye did she use? Should be washable.
