My husband does HVAC and when he comes home he walks right to his office (in our home) I have green carpets and I tried ever carpet stain remover and still can't get it out. If anyone has home remedies to remove them I sure am desperate. We can replace the carpet right now. Budgeting.

Try lighter fluid on a small section of UNSEEN carpet to make sure it does not damage the color. If it's okay, use a small amount of lighter fluid on a white cloth. It should take the grease up. Then put down white paper and stand on it to absorb any excess fluid.

Lastly, put down clear plastic rug runners and put a boot scrapper by the door. Might work unless he ignores the scrapper and avoids the runners. In which case hand him the cleaner and cloth...

After a certain amount of time, carpet has to be replaced. Mine is past due, also because of budget. I have spots that I've cleaned with my steam vac and after a while, nothing really works. I had the carpet guys come and they've also said, over time, nothing will totally get the stain out. Only advice I can give is tell hubby to take his shoes off and put a throw rug over it until your able to replace it.

You may wish to try the hydrogen peroxide and Dawn dishwashing liquid in ratio of 2 parts peroxide to 1 part Dawn. Mix in a spray bottle, spray on the stain, let sit a couple minutes, then scrub with a rag and hot water. You might want to try this in an inconspicuous spot first. I've had real success with this taking out stains and no problem using it on my carpet. Just Google 'hydrogen peroxide plus Dawn" for more information.

I adore Spot Shot. Blue can orange lid. It has removed ink off an entire tan microfiber sofa (kids!) and another kid stubbed a toe while playing chase back and forth in my living room. I looked up and blood spots by the hundreds all over my carpet because he didn't know and the race continued. Just speckled. That stuff is amazing.

Tuff Stuff car upholstery cleaner. In auto stores or auto sections of big box stores. I even use it as a stain remover on tough stains in my laundry and I've sprayed it into my carpet cleaner when I do my carpets.

Maybe it's not a stain any more. Maybe it's the rug's natural fabric color before it's colored at the factory

You can clean carpet stains with vinegar and baking soda : 1 tablespoon baking soda 1 tablespoon oxi-clean 1 teaspoon vinegar 1 tablespoon dish soap 1/2 cup water. Mix together in heat in the microwave for 20 seconds.

Then dab with the bristle brush onto the stain and scrub. Then get a rag wet it with warm water, and scrub the solution until foamy on the carpet. Clean up the foam and vacuum the carpet, the stain will be removed and your carpet good as new.

I’ve used just about every kind of carpet cleaner solution in my Bissell Proheat 2X Revolution Pet. None of them compare to one simple cheap solution, which is vinegar mixed with water.

I’m going to try this to see how well it does. Thank you so much. If this doesn’t work then it’s time to put new flooring down

Awesome spray cleaner from the Dollar store will take it out in a second. Spray, cover with a rag, step on it to absorb the cleaner, spray with water once or twice and do the same.

By standing on a folded dry cloth you force the moisture into the cloth.

Firstly, you should thoroughly dry the stained area with a dry cloth. Then, you should sprinkle the mixture with baking soda. Once the solution has been applied, you should wait for up to five minutes before using it again. Then, you can use the mixture again until the stain has completely dried. If you have tried this method, it is recommended to try it once more as it may help you remove the stain permanently.

Use 1/4 cup of white vinegar, 1 tbsp. of Dawn dish soap, and fill with water. Spray area liberally and let soak for 5-10 minutes and then proceed with blotting with a clean, dry towel until stain is removed. Some carpet stain removal products can be of great benefit for combating many types of carpet stains.
