Make a Vintage Halloween Wreath

I love gathering little trinkets and often pick them up at thrift shops. I pulled out what I had and added to them over the last month until I had enough to make a vintage Halloween Wreath
I started with this wire form that I picked up at a thrift shop. It already had the black tinsel added to it. You could also use a Styrofoam wreath form. But I recommend wrapping it with burlap so that the hot glue doesn't melt the Styrofoam.

I turned the wreath backwards so that the ornaments would sit securely inside. I started with my largest ones first. The important thing is to get the hot glue where there is contact. Also, hold them in place for a while until the glue sets.
Now the fun begins! I laid things out before I started gluing them in place so that I could see what looked best. A mask, cupcake picks, an old horn, and a plastic spider. I tucked in some fall leaves here and there.
I added some crepe paper frill and an orange ticket to a bingo card. I filled the plastic pumpkin with crinkly paper, feathers, and a small potion bottle.
I love rusty junk so I added an old bed spring and a couple of small gears.
The flags were made from paper, glitter, and straws. The numbers 31 are old game pieces. I bought the noise maker and horn off of e-bay years ago.
Just keep tucking in trinkets. Fill every nook and cranny. :)
The bell, ghost cookie cutter, bird, and Halloween sign were all found at thrift shops.
A little wooden pumpkin box is filled with odds and ends. An owl salt shaker an old whistle, and a black glittery bat.
I tucked a cute black cat card inside of the wooden pumpkin box.
More cats at the top of the wreath.
Add a ribbon and hang it from your door. Gathering the trinkets was as much fun as it was making this wreath. Now my front door says, "Happy Halloween"
My wreath was inexpensive because I used alot of what I already had, plus bought most everything at thrift shops. I did buy one box of small ornaments at Michael's for $5, using a 40 off coupon.
