Take gate off and knock it back into place and re fit.

It sounds like something got bent when the tree fell. Figure out where it is bent and try to straighten it, or replace that part if it is possible. Check the hinging on the gate to make sure something isn't damaged, that could make it drag also.

I assume it's a metal gate and it was knocked out of square when the tree fell on it. Have a helper. Use a car jack under where it's dragging. Should be flexible enough the lift (with a helper) to get the jack under it. Have the helper hold the fence (away from the jack) while you slowly raise it with the jack. This is trial and error. You would need to raise and lower a few times till it stops dragging. Don't attempt to do this by yourself. The gate or jack could slip and really hurt you hence the helper.

Try cable and turnbuckle .... anchor cable diagonally across gate (largest dimension gets cable) Use turnbuckle to shorten the distance.
