Removing/replacing counter top

I want to change the cabinets under our kitchen island. The top is made from HiMacs which is just like Corian. It looks like it was attached with clear caulk. I want to take it off, change cabinets then put the same top back on. Does anyone know what adhesive is used to attach the top back on? Or is anyone reading this in the Pittsburgh, PA area and can suggest someone to do the work? I had one estimate for $1400 and I would be supplying all the materials. I know I can do it myself if I have help lifting the counter top off and on.

If your not too heavy of a person as well as your help, why not just put some protective covering on top of your corian n change out the cabinets by standing on it...unless your ceilings are too high or theres no way to position ladders around it.
You would need a sharpened putty knife and a thin pry bar. Carefully use the putty knife to cut the caulk around the edges of the cabinets and countertop. Very gently use the prybar to pry the countertop all around a little at a time. Go slow Corian can break.
Oh so sorry, thought you said above them, when I had granite set in all they used was a bond glue in a tube. .like quick grab...so most likely the same..just pry it up carefully..and this stuff corian or granite is very heavy..need lots of strong arms..took 6 men to carry in and set my not very big granite island top. Thats the reason I suspect for the $$estimate
Use clear caulk. It's just stabilize the countertop from moving ot shufting. The weight of the countertop will hold it in place.
