How to add 4 " wood trim to trimmed windows on vertical metal siding?

Pole building. vertical metal siding. vinyl sliding windows with 1" J trim. want to add 4" wood trim to the windows w/o cutting the metal. trying to imagine how it would look and there would be no trapping of water or leaking.
