Is the water line hooked up and turned on? Is the little bar raised on the icemaker (it needs to either be up on down?? so if it's down and ice isn't happening then raise it.)
Sometimes the water line freezes where it enters the ice maker. Also there is a solenoid valve in the rear of the fridge that opens when the ice maker calls for water. Most likely that may have to be replaced. Easy fix. Go for it.

Maybe the water line is clogged?
