I'm thinking of placing large walking cement squares under my firepit.

The fire pit is square, so I bought 9 for it fight right in the middle. That way if any timbers /embers come out hopefully that cement will stop it from burning my grass.

    Took me a minute to understand your fire pit is above ground. Yes, the cement squares are a deterrent to spreading fire. But if the wind is strong or several other conditions occur, ember could still spread, even around the cement squares if there is dried grass between the squares. I think you should add a small fire extinguisher to the things you take out to the fire pit, like food and firewood. Just put it behind a chair or a log in case it is needed. The cement squares will really enhance your fire pit. Best wishes 😇💞

    Are you sure the fire pit is large enough?

    Two small fire extinguishers at the reachable heights within a metre distance will be a great investment , happy firing ... WFO ;}

    Ya'll ever heard of a garden hose???? Put a squeeze activator thingy on it and keep it charged "the water on" then if the fire gets cranky hose it off. A fire extinguisher lasts maybe ten seconds, a hose will run all day.

    These squares are extra large and my pit is going to fit right in the middle. It is above ground and it's called the Tudor because it's shaped like a Tudor house. Thank you for your input, it really helps!
