Prppermint oil sould work. If you yard is fenced you can install snake fencing.

Move! Just kidding. I would seriously consider though. lol The moth ball box says it's against the law to use outside of the intended use, which means using for snakes is illegal. I don't think it works anyway. My next door neighbor tried before. You have to remove the food source to get them to leave. Find out what they are eating. Call an exterminator who can help guide you better.
There is a product called Snake Away that is made for this purpose.
