Daffodils - Harbingers of Spring

by Angie Forte
I love to see daffodils announcing that spring is coming soon. We don't have any in our yard but the old farm next door has plenty...planted many years ago by the farm's owners, long since gone. The daffodils continue to bloom, year after year.

Love daffs! I just ordered some bluebell bulbs which I should be able to plant out in autumn I think (which we have just entered) will give it a few weeks though before planting them. I am hoping they will naturalize and come back year after year, or would they only flower the once?? I want to plant them in a lightly wooded area where they will still get some sun.

Hi Carole, bluebells are beautiful! I've never planted them but from what I've read, they should naturalize pretty easily. Enjoy your autumn!
