Start with soaking in cold water. Next, spray it with a stain remover, I prefer Spray n Wash, and let it sit for about 1 hour. Rinse in cold water again. If the stain looks like it's gone, let it hang dry. When it's dry, hold it up to natural light (sunlight) and see if the stain is still there. If not, wash it with the rest of the clothes. If the stain is still there, spray again, and wash. Don't dry until the stain is gone. Keep washing with stain remover, until it's it's so faint you can't see it.

It depends on the color and the fabric. If it is white, peroxide will often take the stain away. I have had success with lemon juice and salt. Make a paste and rub it into the fabric. Add a little sunshine to boost the power.

Sometimes products like oxyclean will work in the same manner on light colored fabric. Soak the stain with a runny paste. Rinse and let air dry. Then you will truly see whether it is gone.

    Good luck

Tea has Tannin in it which acts as a dye, I would suggest one of the products you use when you have a colour run when washing.
