feet come in many different forms. I had the best fit when a former nurse friend decided to open a few shoe stores. he was a long distance runner....all feet are different, try many different brands, you will find the right shoes.....and swear at the company when they discontinue them.

Sketchers has a fantastic line of shoes that have memory foam in the soles, etc. I got my hubby a pair and his back aches went away.

My feet are SUPER wide so let me tell you I know the frustration of finding proper shoes! I would suggest, for men, Merrell shoes, Propet, Skechers relaxed fits... You have to try them all on of course and stores don't have the selection I find online. I use various online shoe sellers like zappoe, shoes.com, etc... that have free returns, so the try on doesn't cost a thing! When I find a shoe that is right for me, I'll get two pair! Good luck, but my men swear by Merrells

My hubby has problem feet and he purchased a pair of Abeo tennis shoes and loves them. They were great for him. The definitely were not cheap, but worth it, like they say, you get what you pay for. I got a pair two, and I can where them for six hours before my feet bother me. I can't where flats of any kind as my arch will fall even with good arch support. They usually don't hit right and cause problems. This comes from too many years of where heels. Hope this helps.

DH tried many brands. I did a search and found Keen. He went out and bought a pair, and said they are the most comfortable shoes, and they are holding up...a very big feat (pardon the pun) for him.

Depending on what he stands on. Is it concrete, metal, foam or some other type of flooring? Let's know, and what is his job.

Sometimes custom orthotics are the answer. You'd need to get them made through a podiatrist's office and while they aren't cheap, you have the ability to switch them between all your shoes.

I agree Skechers. I bought my husband 2 pairs of Skechers last winter. One is a winter pair extra wide width and he finds them very comfortable, the other pair is regular width he still finds them comfortable. I also wear Skechers, but I have a very narrow foot so the are a little wide for me I love them anyway
