I have a few hard to sand items that I want to paint. I read on here, unfortunately didn't bookmark, that there is a spray product that you can spray so that you don't have to sand.

I have not heard of a spray on no sand product but there is a liquid no sand that you paint on and let it sit. Works well to remove the shiny part and once clean and dry chalk paint generally works well.

Clean surface scrape off any where it"s peeling, spray primer(white or clear) then spray paint with your preferred color, make sure primer is dry before spray painting.

Item still needs to be sanded if it is shiny. When we painted our car, there was a spray product we could spray before the primer, so we didn't need to sand it all. It made the primer stick. I just thought there might be something like that before painting shiny objects.

There is a liquid sanding product sold in the big box stores, ask in the paint department. I used it on a hutch, that I did not want to move before painting. It worked fine and the project came out great.

Rustoleum has a textured spray paint that looks like stone ware. Google textured paint.

Kilz...it's a primer spray. Works excellent if you have a stain, or color you think might bleed through whatever color you're covering.
