Any ideas for making 1 pair of curtains for 3 bay windows?

We really don't know what your intentions are...take down the blinds? Keep blinds but add curtains to dress this up?

I saw where someone used towel bars to add curtains on each side of a window to serve just to dress up the room! You could even use dowels in brackets if you wish!

The problem you have here is opening and closing the curtains since anything with any width has to have a center brace...and sometimes a bay window has to be curtained in 3 places.

You could use a rod attached to the ceiling inside the window casing with a center brace, and put a curtain on each end, then add a longer curtain of the same color or accent color on each side on a short rod...you could even give the illusion that the window is larger than it is.

A white curtain inside with a white curtain on the outside that has black trees and redbirds on it would be stunning! Google "fabric with birds" and they are stunning!

Have you considered using flat bedsheets? The microfiber bedsheets come in a variety of colors and aren't too expensive.

The problem with pairs of curtains is that it will not be possible to mount them so that they can function as a pair, due to the angles of this style of window. Without reconstructing the whole window top projection to match the bottom ledge, conventional curtains that open and close across a straight rod cannot be used here.

There is flexible tubing that can act as curtain rods for static valances, but attaching the mounting hardware so that it can support the moving weight of the curtains will be difficult.

Have you considered some of the fabric shades that are out there. If too expensive you can purchase plain shades and then add fabric to them in whatever design you want

Have you considered room darkening shades or Roman blinds? You could put one in each window and have a pair of full-length curtains frame them on the sides (on short rods or hooks).

Our living room had a similar problem so I used white plastic shower curtains as darkening lining. They are relatively cheap & I hung them with thin white cord through their own hole & then looped the cord through the main curtain clip from the back. They can’t be detected through the “curtains”, so length won’t matter. I then hung my straight rod from the ceiling directly in line with the bottom window sill. When closed, you saw none of the window. I knew it was a temporary move in fix & later found a super bargain on beautiful curtains, but added a strip to each panel to get the right length, covered the seam with a strip of cording & VOILA, I had the perfect drapery. My bedroom has similar windows & I hung each window separately with a panel I roll up from the bottom & tie with ribbons. I hung long panels of the same material each side of the windows to give the effect of full draperies. Hope this helps.

If curtain panels measuring 50" x 60" fits, I buy fleece throws in matching pairs when I find hem on sale. My most recent find priced them at $2.50 each & I use 2 per window. for simplicity, I do no sewing or cutting - use round rods, even spring-loaded depending on the windows & I use the round curtain 'hooks' with either 'claws' or clamps on them to hang the throws (small fleece blankets) on the rods. I've been using the fleece throws as curtains for several years, and the color & patterns range from solids to plaids to tie-died & even pricier ones include characters from favorite kids movies. They wash easily, can be used as blankets when I change color schemes & in colder seasons I've hung two sets back-to-back, blocking cold weather, or for room darkening effects. The combinations are endless & as prices go, affordable for almost every budget compared to other curtains & draperies.

There are those curved rods for bathtubs, might work in that space,

I notice you have white mini blinds up. how about going with a brown or some other dark color you can order them off Amazon in any color if you can't find them locally. White brightens the room even when they are closed. Then buy some flat sheets your color chose They require very little sewing. tie them back or leave them down they are a nice

alternative to the expensive curtains and if done right look extremely nice

I used paint tarps, spring rods and cafe curtain clips. No sewing involved.I hung bamboo beaded curtains before I put up the valance. The only tools needed was a staple gun and and small tacks.

I have a similar issue in a new vacation home we just did the initial move into this weekend...I only need the drapes for insulation in COLD & HOT - the blinds are the privacy. The bay is the hard part (and the expensive part). I am going to skip the custom size/shape rod & simply use a straight rod on the outside of the bay and just hang full length panels. They will both draw back to the sides of the bay, offering its use space for use when using that room. It will add decor value that I want and function that I need. I am willing to do a fully sewn drape with insulation liners and coordinating bay cushion cover. However, for inexpensive fabric, look to the fabric painters drop cloths. Most are a cotton / poly blend and come pre-hemmed. I used these on our patio for summer shade and just used clip rings from the curtain aisle. RIT dye offers a synthetic fabric formula in case you wish to dye the fabrics. Another option...look for ready made tablecloths at the discount retailers like Ross, Marshall's, Tuesday Morning, etc. I have acquired inexpensive black out liners from Target before at about $10 a panel that came in a variety of color options. When there is a will there is a way when it comes to decor on a shoestring...Good luck.

Walmart has 84 inch room darkening curtains for 8.00 a panel and up. You could also use fabric drop cloths - comes in many sizes.
