Starting Seeds for the 2014 Vegetable Garden

We had a family assembly line to get our seeds going this year. We made all of our little pots from newspaper and set them up in dollar store foil pans with plastic covers to act as "greenhouses". This year we are going to have the most inexpensive produce ever!
Dollar store pans are perfect mini greenhouses for our window sill.
Station 2 in our assembly line was the filling station.
Station 3 was planting seeds and marking them.
We used old business cards to mark our seeds. This way the whole package can go right into the ground when they sprout.

i have so many small ideas for re using things we normally throw out such as tins, food containers, milk bottles every time i empty a milk bottle i fill it with water or rain water and place outside when i fetch in the laundry i give my plants a drink.I stuff tights with shredded paper and compost and tie lots together in a long length then stab aholes with a pencil and plant beans peas seeds etci string these up between the branches of trees in my garden to keep mice slugs kids and cats and dogs off them, when the sprout large enough to handle i cut them down dig a trench add mulch and lay the tights tubing into the trench complete and backfill the trench water in and leave to grow barely any disturbance or risk of damage

you could tie a knot in between each small plant you add to the tights and as they grow large enough just cut each one off and plant it out
