I want one that I can use occasionally and don't have to run the battery down to recharge it and can stay on the charger. Anyone have suggestions what I should look for?

I like my Dyson... but they are expensive... Shark has a new one out too.... and I have been happy with all my Shark items.

kind of was thinking about those 2. Wonder if anyone had a Shark. I don't care if I have to spend a little more if it lasts. I am tired of buying cheaper models and have them not work in a year or two.

I have a Black and Decker 16V Lithium that I like. I bought it because it had great reviews and lots of other people seem to like theirs too.

I bought WORX cordless blower from walmart,$99. I use the blower for the front and back patio and yard . I have not run the battery out yet. I have a large yard. It has a 20V Lithium battery and I recharge and unplug it each time I use it. Not A better deal than this.

Handheld vacuums are great tools to have to clean up small messes.

If you have children, this is a must have to clean up that messy trail of chips or cheerios.

The Black & Decker BDH2000FL still tops the list because of its relatively low price point and versatility thanks to the flexible 4-foot hose.

It also has interchangeable tools similar to a Dyson that allows this to clean not just dust but also pet hair on upholstery and tight spots around your home.
