Let the Halloween festivities commence with these spooky drink stirrers and fun Halloween bar cart!
Halloween promises to be a bit chilly this year, and I'm ready for it with some s'mores hot cocoa. Add in these adorable peeps ghost drink stirrers and you've got one festive drink for the evening. I also bedecked my bar cart with a fun black and white paper fan garland and scary ravens. Get my recipe for the cocoa over on Pender & Peony!
These spooky drink stirrers are seriously the easiest DIY you will do all year! No kidding! All you need are some cute paper straws and a box of Halloween peeps. I used the pumpkin peeps and the ghost peeps, but they also make Frankensteins and black cats.
With a knife make a small cut in the bottom of the ghost peep. Push your paper straw into the cut, twisting around as you push. The trick here is to hold your peep lightly so that you don't crush it. Once your peep is securely on the straw add it to your steaming hot mug of cocoa!
You and the kids will have fun dunking it into the hot cocoa!
To bedeck your bar cart for Halloween add some scary elements and some fun festive accents. I choose this cute black and white paper fan garland from Target's party aisle. I simply assembled it on the string provided and tied it around the front of the bar cart.
Next I added an orange glass pumpkin and perched some scary ravens on the bar cart. Throw in some quirky Halloween themed cocktail napkins and you've got the perfect Halloween festive bar cart!
