I’m overrun with gophers. How do I get of them?

I have 2 acres of land with natural landscape but fruit trees and a newly planted Honey locust tree. I estimate there may be upwards of 100 gopher holes on the property. Several gopher holes around each tree.

  Thank you for your wisdom. For some reason, this year in Northern AZ is the worst yr ever for gophers. Our area got more rain this year so that may be the reason. Sorry to hear your garden was destroyed. Noah had no idea what destructive creatures they were when he welcomed them aboard the ark, did he?

,Use moth balls, and this will help. You will have to replace them in a a month. On each path, put more down them, for they all inter-join. J.

I put pieces of Tom Cat rat posion in the holes,about every four feet

  We have a dog and cat. They might dig it up. Our cat does sit by the holes and wait for the gopher to pop up out of the hole. Thank you for the suggestion. It sounds like you found a solution.

  Yes you do want to be careful of your pets.This is weird but you can pour your pee in their hole or pour the used cat litter in the hole also.I am not crazy but these things do work,good luck

Traps or hire someone you most likely do not have a hundred gophers Just one destroyed by garden last year. And made lots of holes. They will eat root balls and kill plants or trees. with two acres would be worth hiring someone

If you or if you know anyone who has snakes, keep the skin when they shed and place a good long piece in each in hole. They won't be back. Tried and true!
