Dawn liquid soap (without bleach) , if the grease was black kind of oil y I u speak of. If you're talking about just a oily spot that makes the nylon appear wet then pour dry baking soda on it and let it sit on the spot for a while then I'd put some dawn soap on it and rub it on the spot and then let that sit for a while. Then rinse and probably wash with baking soda in the wash and pray for it to come out.good luck. I hate grease oil spots from mechanic diesel oils to the greasy spots done from handling greasy food. The trick though is to get to the spot before it sets in and before you wash it. Then dump dry baking soda on it first and let it sit over night so it absorbs as much oil as possible. Good luck !

pouring salt on the stain and rubbing it in with a damp cloth usually works for me. After you gently rub the oil stain with the salt and damp cloth, shake it off, wash and the stain should be gone

Thought I'd let you know that the salt worked very well. There is just a little stain left but will do it again and I'm sure it will be gone and my lovely white nylon winter coat will be salvaged - thank you so much again. Best wishes Patricia.

Heat and cover stain with talc. Just the chance it will transfer.....

Try baking soda or baby powder. You can also make a paste of either of these with Dawn. Don't put the item into the dryer as it can set the stain.

Put hair Shampoo, or dishwashing soap like dawn on the spot and work in with a brush, it cuts grease on clothes like it does for greasy dishes and hair.
