Welcome, fellow craft enthusiasts! If you're looking for an affordable and creative way to add a touch of autumn to your home, you're in the right place.

Today, I'll show you how to make a corn husk wreath, perfect for fall and Thanksgiving. Plus, it will only cost you $7.00 and a couple of hours of your time.

Straw wreath and corn husks

Tools and Materials:

Wrap husks around the straw wreath

1. Preparing the Base

Begin by covering the entire wreath frame with corn husks. To do this, simply wrap the husks around the wreath and secure them in place with hot glue. This forms the foundation of your corn husk wreath.

Cut husks into a petal shape

2. Crafting the Petals

In this step, we'll create the "petals" that give your wreath its distinct look. Fold the corn husks in half and cut them into a petal shape.

Paint the tips of some of the husks

3. Adding a Splash of Color (Optional)

For an extra touch of creativity, you can paint some of the husks. If you choose to do so, use acrylic paint. To achieve a uniform look, create a template using a piece of cardboard to paint around the tips of the husks.

Glue the petals to the wreath

4. Assembling the Petals

Glue the first row of petals to the bottom of the wreath. Take your time to ensure they are securely attached.

These petals should be applied to the inside of the wreath, creating depth and dimension.

Add twine to hang the corn husk wreath

6. Adding a Hanger

To display your beautiful creation, flip the wreath upside down and hot glue a piece of twine to the back. This will serve as a hanger.
