How To Decorate With A Vintage Ladder

I love to repurpose thrift store or yard sale finds. My Dad picked up this old ladder for me at a yard sale for $5-score!
I debated leaving it as is, but with the wall color, it just didn’t show up well enough. I decided to give it a whitewash using  Deco Art Americana Chalky Finish Painticon
I left lots of the underlying chippy paint which I just love! The room has a farmhouse feel to it, so this vintage ladder is perfect! For now, I decorated it for fall with white pumpkins and mason jars.
I found the gorgeous olive bucket at Hobby Lobby and had to add some of my favorite cotton boll stems! I also picked up some faux dusty miller stems and tied a couple to the top of the ladder with gorgeous velvet ribbon.
I can totally picture myself having fun decorating this for Christmas with lights and fresh sprigs of pine! Hopefully this will inspire you the next time you see an old discarded ladder! I have to share a close up of the gorgeous horse print that I bought for 50% off at Hobby Lobby. I just fell in love with it and love how it looks over the ladder.
