Stain on sweater

I am in big trouble!! I washed my husbands brown sweater with my new black jeans. Now we have stains on his sweater. Did not notice till I took it out of the dryer. Can this sweater be saved?? Hope so please help.

Rewash the sweater by itself. That should work for you even though you have already dried it.

just a tip.....wash your new jeans of any color with a cup or 2 of vinegar. It will hep set the dye.
I've done the same with different clothes. It is not a stain on the sweater - it is dye from the jeans. Treating it like a stain will not work. I don;t think you can remove it.
