I use a lot of baking soda poured in the drain, then straight vinegar. The bubbling action loosens clogs. Then I pour a pot full of boiling water in the drain to flush down the clog.
Pour about a gallon of boiling water down the drain and use a plunger. If you have a double sink you'll need to cover one of the drains so you can get some suction when you plunge.
pour a cup of baking soda into drain then add boiling water
Fill it 1/4 way with water and plunge it.
