Take some packing tape and wrap around your hand with the sticky side out. Don’t be shy, wrap around at least a couple of times. Then use your hand to pat the fabric with the tape to remove the lint balls.

Sellotape will take it off.
You can also use a lint brush.

Super lint roller from the pet store. They remove pet hair from clothing and upholstery so I bet they would work well for you.
I use a battery powered lint remover. Really removes the pills from sweaters.
I take it you washed them together. It's better to do separate loads. However, if you have already done this, take Scotch tape, wrap around hand with sticky side out and brush. If you must wash both together, turn your clothes inside out and that should eliminate the problem.
Wash them again by there self and then put i. Dryer with dryers sheets also make sure you put fabric softener in washers load it helps loosen the ball .
