Hi there Lorrainewilli, To clean the carpet, try using Hydrogen Peroxide and Dawn dish soap. Mix them together and apply to the carpet. Use a cloth or an old toothbrush to scrub. I'm not real sure how to clean the clothing. I would try Shout or OxiClean. Wishing you well.

Once the paint has dried... I don't think there is much you can do on clothing ( I have some things that have been washed dozens of times and still have paint on them) On the carpet... if the paint is just on the very top of the fibers... a VERY careful trimming might be all you can do to get it off without effecting the color.

remove as easily, if at all.

Hand sanitizer will remove acrylic or latex paint from carpet. Apply generous spot of sanitizer, then rub briskly with an old bathcloth, or even a paper towel. I have removed paint from carpet this way even after it had dried for a month. Most paints will also come out of clothing this way, if you do it the same day. Metallic paints do not remove as easily.
