Stencil How-to: Reverse Stenciling and Gilding on Glass


In this stencil tutorial we share how easy it is to create a verre églomisé finish on glass using our Clear Royal Stencil Size.Verre églomisé is a French term that literally translates to "glass gilded" and refers to the process where the reverse side of glass is gilded with gold or other metal leaf.     I love this! How can I apply a stencil and paint it and then paint the rest of the table another color? Do I leave the stencil in place until the paint dries and then paint the rest in another color?

      Paint your bottom color first then apply the stencil on top.

    absolutely gorgeous! A glass top stand wouldn't last long in my house, but the technique could be used so many ways. thanks for sharing.
