Welcome! It has been a busy weekend getting ready for several fun blog hops coming up this week. I love crafting especially for the Holidays. I love creating pretty Tablescapes and just shared my Thanksgiving Tablescape. I wanted to show you how to make no sew Burlap Silverware Holders. I love no sew projects!
Supplies
1 yard Burlap
Drop Cloth Scraps
Stamp
StazOn Ink Pad
Fabric Scissors
Hot Glue
I started with a yard of Burlap from Hobby Lobby, though you don’t need that much. I use Burlap for lots of craft projects so I always keep extra on hand. I wanted to make 6 Holders. I cut 6 pieces 6″ X 24″ then frayed the sides. Next, fold one end for the top approximately 7″ and the bottom about 3″, then again another 6″ to make the pocket. Then fire up the glue gun and glue each side only up to the top of the pocket.
The drop Cloth was cut to size about 3″ x 4″ and I just hot glued the sides to the Burlap. I had the perfect stamp left over from my Stampin’ Up! demo days. It is a turkey and I added a grateful banner. As I was stamping on fabric I used stazon ink, which works better on fabric. The Silverware fits perfectly! I plan to make some for Christmas this year using red Burlap! It’s very inexpensive as well.
