As a furniture repurposing crazy person, I have way too many dressers stored in my garage. So what's a girl to do? Tell her husband to make a bench!

First we had to cut out some of the drawers and reinforce the seating area.
Then we attached slats to make the seat. We also trimmed out around the front and armrests.
I started with the drawers. After cleaning them with a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water, then a good rinse with just water, I started to paint.
I wanted a little different look on the drawers so first I put a coat of Kristi Kuehl Pure Home Paint and Finishes Swiss Miss. I then applied Surface Crack, also a product from Kristi Kuehl Pure Home Paint and Finishes. Then finished up with Cali Taupe.
I then used Kristi Kuehl Pure Home Paint and Finishes Chestnut Wood Stain on the seat and Cali Taupe on the body. I sealed everything with a Sable Glaze.
