French Typography Suitcase Table

If you have never heard of The Graphics Fairies, you are in for a treat. They have many French typographies that you can print and use for free! I have seen a lot of French typographies on different things in stores and online. I think some of them are so beautiful and they really add a lot of character to the things they are on.
I have wanted to try some French typography on a project for a long time. Insert this suitcase table I first posted about here. This little table got a lot of attention and was featured on Hometalk’s Facebook page. It has been sitting in our home and I have been thinking that it needs a little something more……..
So, I grabbed some cream paint and painted the suitcase. I left all the hardware unpainted. I loved the way it looked after I painted it, but now it is screaming for some French typography! Don’t you agree?
I searched through the French typographies on The Graphics Fairies and found one I liked. I printed it off on a transparent sheet and used an overhead to shine the print on the suitcase.
Once I had the print where I wanted it, I used a pencil to trace it on the suitcase.

Then, I used a black paint marker to fill it in.
I love it!
Now, this table has tons of character and a little French flair.
Another project crossed off the endless list of projects. I am one happy girl!
