Genius (& Simple!) Ways to Hide Common Eyesores

In this life, we're all in the middle of a grand "re-vamp" scheme aren't we? I don't know anyone who can afford to re-do everything on their list, all at once.
Here are some smart, thrifty, and stylish ways to make due with your everyday eyesores in the meantime.

Transition backsplash to wall with a simple (and cheap!) shelf bracket.
Conceal your routers and wires with card boxes
Spray paint a door mat to cover over-sized vents or electrical boxes. (AC units too!)
For window AC units... hang a "restaurant style" curtain with a basic tension rod.
pipe-filled wall in your utility room? hello easy to cut pegboard! plus you can hang selves!
A black drop cloth can be utilized to hide cords, and make a simple (cheap) desk look more premium.
