Do you have an old chair just laying around, wondering what to do with it how about using it to repurpose it into a candle stick set? Making a set of candlesticks is nice and easy and lets you stand out during these upcoming holidays.
Steps: 1- Gather all your supplies and set the saw up where you won’t mind a mess 2- Remove your spindles from the back of a chair and cut them at each end so they will be flush. For your set, I suggest cutting them at 12” 10” and 8” but you can choose your own heights 3- Once you have your desired length use the glue of your choice (liquid nail or E6000) and attach one saucer centered on each side of your spindle 4- Let the glue dry 5- Once your spindles are dry spray paint them black for your base and allow the spray paint to dry 6- With your desired color dry brush over the black and allow to dry 7- Once paint is fully dried take your sand paper and slightly sand back in different areas to allow the black to show through and give that distressed look enjoy!

Supplies: 6 clay saucers (4.25” round), 3 wooden spindles (I got mine from the back of a chair), paint of your choice, 60 grit sand paper, liquid nail (or you could use E6000), Black spray paint (I used flat black), paint brush, and a saw.

Let the glue dry. Once your spindles are dry spray paint them black for your base and allow the spray paint to dry

I did several at one time in several colors. They make great holiday décor and gifts
