just a few thing to think about... you can scrounge packing boxes a head of the move. there is a brand of grocery stores open 24 h. the stockers start at 10 pm. wait just a bit and go "shopping" for boxes. start making your box shopping a regular occurrence. pack up seasonal items for the move as you put them away for the season. the boxes from a moving company can be pricey to buy.

some moving companies wont move household chemicals, cleaning supplies, lamp fuel gasoline. those you will have to transport in your own vehicle. when shopping for moving trucks get their list of what they can or cannot move.

pack up a basic kitchen set the -plastic stuff - knife forks spoons and paper plates and bowls . a few pots and pans. food planned out, and put in a cooler the day of the move. its sooo much better than eating fast food.. again. generally the last items on the truck are the first off. guess where my kitchen supplies landed?

be aware that your stuff might not be the only load on a truck. you may have to share the space. label well- i did address labels from my computer and stuck them several places on the packed up boxes.

when packing your clothes... pack only what fits you now, donate the rest to a charity shop, get a recite you may be able to deduct that from your taxes. if you are moving for a new job and it is X miles away you may be eligible for tax credit. keep your recites

oh one more thing....glassware---this is one item to have the movers pack...if they break it, their insurance pays for it.
