As a collector of anything beautiful, the challenge for this week, "natural elements," was right down my Hometalk alley. The only problem was deciding which project to post. So I decided to post both projects The first project is a jewelry tray using a Dollar Tree mirror and seashells that were in my collection. I used a simple plastic circular framed mirror and glued similar shells to the rim. Loctite Super Glue was perfect, it dried quick and clear. The reflection from the mirror made a beautiful setting for my jewelry.

The second post was also made using my lovely seashells. Our dining table is very open and airy. It just begs to be near the ocean. So instead of a floral centerpiece, I came up with a natural arrangement of seashells displayed in a clear globe-like bowl. After arranging the shells so that the various colors and shapes could be appreciated. Nothing about the bowl distracts from the natural beauty of the seashells. It is displayed in the center of our glass-top table. And I must add that my husband really appreciates the natural beauty of the piece.

The cost of both projects totaled $2.00. The glue was in my craft supplies and the seashells were in my collection of pretty things.
Glue seashells to outside of mirror
The reflection of the mirror really makes my jewelry shine. Beautiful project to hold beautiful jewelry.
