A simple wooden turkey decoration you can breakdown and store flat.
Here I include some printouts you can use to trace/cut the parts out of a 1/2 plywood board.
Just start with printing out the images I created as a template:

I start with a scrap piece of 1/2 inch plywood.
Print and tape out the guide onto the board so everything fits nicely.

If you have a Jigsaw.... put it on slow setting and slowly cut out the edges while the board is secured.
The template will need to be re-taped as it is cut away to ensure you get a proper guide to follow.
Pull the paper guide off and clean up as needed the edges.
A rough fitting will show you were you need to sand flat the bottom and if you need to open the slots more to accommodate the other board thickness.
Go slow... you can always remove more material but you cant put it back.
Sand everything many times... get in between the cuts and especially the slots and outside edges.
I grabbed whatever brown stain I could find and applied a coat to all edges. I may have to go get a darker stain... I will see after a few coats.
I enhanced the edges of this template to make it easier to follow.
Play with the feather spacing if you want. Just make sure the slots match up.
Also... cut a small notch for the mouth.
You can even add plastic eyes if you want!
