You may need to use different thicknesses of weatherstripping. Once you've determined the thicknesses you need, it's easy. The big box stores have all different types. The easiest is the foam with sticky backing. Measure and cut to length and attach. I've used the foam types and it's been up for more than 5 years.

Most home centers sell self-adhesive weather stripping. It comes in a roll and you just peel and stick it around the frames of your windows and doors. It has a padded foam look to it, and it helps keep out drafts, etc.

Another product that helps is a specialized window plastic that you put on the window, then use a hair dyer to "shrink wrap" the window to seal out drafts. It is very effective and inexpensive- around $1 per window. It is in the same aisle as the adhesive stripping at the home improvement store.

I agree foam stripping is the simplest. But also the shrink plastic is good too just more challenging.
