It is dripping wet between the storm door and the inside door! help!

you need to chase down that leak, caulk it and then you can buy flashing to put over the door to direct water outside the glass. If it’s brick house , you may need mortar work. Just go to Home Depot or Lowes and ask the guy in that dept (doors) for an over the door flashing idea. They are usually pretty good. You just screw them on after predrilling the aluminum frame for screw holes. Power tools dont know a woman is holding them 😉

check your weatherstripping around your inside door and you storm door . Sounds like you have heat leaking from the inside of your home.

Water or sweating as it sometimes called occurs when hot and cold air mix without a vapor barrier, like plastic sheeting. If you have a large amount of ice coating on the inside of the storm door then there would be reason to think that you might have a more significant source of moisture, such as a leak from above the door. Does your door have any missing weather stripping? If so replace it. You can also try caulking the joints between the side casings of the door and the exterior siding, and make sure that there is flashing above the top casing. There should also be caulk between the storm door's frame and the door casing. You can remove the frame, run a bead of caulk, then replace the frame.

Also check any siding and windows that are above this door. Make sure they too are weather tight. If any water gets in through any open joint into the wall above the door it can make its way down through the wall to the door area.

Do you have an overhang over your door or a covered porch?

I agree is there an awning, porch, etc over the door? does it need caulking or a flashing where it meets the house? Is the door trim caulked?

Is there a gutter over the door? is the gutter cleaned out and draining properly? Is it caulked along the roof line/soffit?

it's a flashing problem, it was more likely lead and was replaced with something else, the lead is thicker andhold up better
