I want to paint open concept living room ...

I just painted my interior with Behr Silver Tradtion. It is a light grey and a very clean fresh color. With the trim painted in pure white the walls really pop.

There are so many colors to choose from and millions of formulas to make them. Best thing is to talk to an informed person at a paint store or a designer, and tell them exactly what you do want, and what you don't want.. This is what I had to do to get the color of Beige I wanted for my whole house.

We used Sherwin Williams Software Gray in our office, and it has no purple or blue casts, it is a bit more on the medium to dark side, but I would recommend narrowing down with color sticks, and then getting small samples to brush onto the wall. That way you can test each color in the lighting to see if you catch any blues of purples.

Go to a paint store. You will need a grey that has a brown, green, or yellow base to avoid a blue or purple cast. Good luck.

I would suggest buying a few samples or getting color swatches and putting them up on the walls youre painting and see how each color looks in the light

Go get a pain card from your local DIY or sample tin and see what you think.

Take several paint chip swatches home and tape them in various spots to see what the colors look like in various lights. Then select the one that looks best in most situations.

I always purchase sample testers. The lighting in your home is always much different than any store.
