I wanted to make a new wreath for my front door this Christmas. I was looking around my local ReStore and came across a really nice full wreath. I also found a beautiful Christmas centerpiece I really liked. Five dollars each was not bad. So I snatched them up before the lady behind me picked them up. I went home with my treasures.
Bare and ready to be transformed.
I knew I wanted to use the flowers off of the centerpiece for my wreath. I had to remove them without destroying my centerpiece. A pair of needlenose plyers did the trick.
Centerpiece before plucking the flowers.
I needed ribbon and other embellishments so off to JoAnns Fabric I went. I was armed with several coupons. Everything I needed was on sale so I used the 60% off coupon towards lettering for a future project. I bought ribbon and berry stems.
Some of the supplies I used.
I had a roll of gold mesh I bought in January at JoAnns. It was so cheap I bought a roll of red too. I dug it out of my craft closet. I cut a large piece off the roll and cut it up into squares.
Mesh cut into squares.
I rolled up the square of mesh into a funnel shape. I taped the end to keep it together. I made ten of these.
I then made a bow out of the wired ribbon. I also cut a piece to make tails for the bow. I taped the tail in the center to make two tails.
Bow and tail.
I hot glued the tail on first and then the bow. I glued all of the flowers next. And where there were bare spaces I added the gold mesh funnels. I used a twisty tie attached to the back of the wreath to hang it from the hook on my door.
All done and ready to hang after Thanksgiving
I then added a battery operated candle to the middle of the centerpiece. I now have a centerpiece and a wreath for Christmas.

You have two for the price of one! lovely. Maybe you won't mind doing a step by step on bow making? The videos I watched went too fast and skipped steps so I was not able to make one
