Fall Embroidery Hoop Wreath

As you know, embroidery hoop wreathes are all the rage right now and as much as I love Halloween, I love the simple colors of fall even more. This wreath takes no time at all to make and what I love the most is that since I used the embroidery hoop, I actually got TWO wreathes for the price of one!! So I already started on the Christmas version of my embroidery hoop wreath! Let’s stick with the program though and start with this easy DIY Fall Embroidery Hoop Wreath.
What you need:
Embroidery Hoop
FolkArt Milk Paint with paint brush (Veranda Blue pictured)
Dried Flowers of Choice (at least 3 different kinds)
Ribbon (mine from Hobby Lobby)
Hot Glue
I started by unscrewing the hoops at the top and separating them into two hoops. Set one hoop aside for another project. Then I used my FolkArt Milk Paint and painted my other hoop inside and out. This isn’t a required step, but I loved the option of adding more color to the wreath this way.
I originally had selected a red to paint the hoop with, but decided I wanted something more neutral and contrasting, so I changed my mind and used Veranda Blue in the end. I LOVE FolkArt Milk Paint and you can see THESE POSTS for other Milk Paint ideas.
After the hoop was painted, I started trimming my flowers off the stems and then arranging them on the wreath. I used the “furry ball” flowers for the base of the wreath and hot glued them on first going up either sides. Then I started slowly adding flowers on either sides. I tried to glue them on evenly on the sides, meeting in the center bottom of the hoop.
Once all the flowers were added, I made a simple bow using the ribbon I got from Hobby Lobby. I wanted to go with a contrasting ribbon for this project, so I selected a black and “natural” ribbon, but I was SO close to grabbing a great black and white gingham that looked pretty amazing with the project too. Go bold, I say.
