Sandstone would be nice.........
me my self and I would pull a color from the flooring one of the lighter ones, if you have a spare tile, most dedicated paint stores can duplicate the color in paint. And you can get the color in a lighter tone if you wish.
Sandstone or white, pour Vanilla extract into paint 1/4c or more, stop at1/2c stir and watch color
Take a color out of the tile that appeals to you.
Since your floor color is really pretty neutral, you can use any color that bends with the rest of the house decor.
Every paint store in the world makes swatches....and folders with paint chips. Pick up several with the colors that appeal to you and bring them home to try with your floor. Easy peasy.
What room is this? and what style furniture do you have? more pictures of the room?
An off white or creamy white would look great, or you could go with a bold color, depending on the rest of your decor .
I'd suggest either Bone White or Light Navajo White by Clark & Kensington in a satin finish. Because the walls are now a mauve color, I'd prime the walls with Kilz2 first otherwise a 'pink hue' will come through the lighter color which will require multiple coats to hide it. Prime, then Paint. You'll be happy you did. p.s. Nice floor tiles! Best of luck.
I'd pick a deep rich color like plum, deep olive, navy blue or you could go with an off white but it depends on what you like. I like dark rich colors!
