Can I grow tomatoes in a big plant pot instead of in the ground? If so, does anyone have advice for how to grow tomatoes in pots?

    yes as long as the pot has drainage holes and use a tomato cage

    Yes you can. It may need to be watered more frequently though. It will still need to be staked.

    yes. Tomato plants need a min. Of 5 gal. Good potting mix. 5 gal. Buckets work. Make sure it has good drainage. You will also need a support for the vine.

    Yes, absolutely. Save money and buy a five-gallon bucket and drill holes in the bottom and add a layer of small gravel to help with drainage. Use good clean potting soil and plant your tomatoes. An added extra. Most of the tomato cages can be slightly bent to fit inside the bucket and support your plant.

    Sure can. Make sure it has a hole in bottom. Get tomato cage secure it in. If the pot is real big put rocks in the bottom for good drainage and save on potting soil.
