My Goldendoodles love to jump against the doors leading outside When they hear other dogs. Is there anything that could be attached to doors to protect the paint? Im so tired of re painting, but LOVE my 4 legged babies! Help!

  • What about some sort of plate made of metal or acrylic to put on the door where they jump? It will get scratched, too, but it can be replaced when it gets too bad.

Try a sheet of plexiglass cut to size.

I love my cat, same on bottom drawer. Think about noisey bells on door knob. A quicker response by you will reduce damage, for repair remember sheet metal on outside doors

Sheet metal, double sticky tape. Big head Tacks, nails for endurance. Door solidwood or plywood metal screws into or thru like a bolt with nut

Thank you Sandra, I am actually going to try that suggestion. I have big dogs and they can do some damage to paint, really quick.

Have you thought of a doggie door if your yard is fenced??

I don't recall where it came from, but a metal lattice with squares of about a half inch, was fastened with a 3/8th inch spacer. I also did this to a screen door for the summer, as the dog tore the screen, but this stopped it cold.

Well, thank you so much, Russbow98. The first place I will check for that lattice is Home Depot, but I'm going to Google it right now! My dogs might not thank you, but I sure do.
