Free & Easy Christmas Decor!!!!!

Christmas is my most favorite time of the year! I love to decorate our home for the Season but it is quite expensive to go out and buy a bunch of Christmas decor and then have to pack up and store it in the attic. So I have come up with several ideas to make our home beautiful and festive for this Christmas Season without spending any money.
That's right.
For FREE.
Fresh cut evergreens bring such a holiday feeling in to our home. My favorite varieties are Magnolia, cedar and Juniper. They last a long time and they do not shed.
Every year I save a few of my favorite Christmas cards to display around our home. This Santa card in a simple silver frame that I already had is a favorite.
I always like to display books on our coffee table throughout the year. At Christmas I change the books and use old, worn and vintage ones in shades of red and green.
I also like to wrap a few smaller packages and tuck them in a few spots throughout our home. Now and then I will try to coordinate the wrapping with the room decor, but it is really hard to beat brown paper tied up with a red bow. These look especially nice on bedside tables or tucked in a book shelf! The possibilities here are really endless. Enjoy!

Suggested materials:
  • Evergreen, old books, old Christmas cards, empty boxes
  • Ribbon

  • Wonderful ideas, I like the evergreens with an apple, the framed Santa cards or photos, and using simply wrapped packages around the house. A collage made of Christmas cards and photos on an left over panel wood is one I plan ti use. And using bright red and green kitchen towels in the Kitchen with my the collection of red Coca Cola cans and bottles are two I use in the kitchen.
