I removed wall paper, do I need to paint primer?

I washed the wall as I removed the wall paper. There is a residue of sizing. Do I need to paint primer before painting? Do I need to wash the walls again? Can I just paint a finished coat?

Ask at HD, Lowes or Ace Hardware or Sherwin Williams for the best advice.

Walls have to be clean ,wash first then use a paint with primer in it
Give a nicer finish to do it right

Get off as much residue as you can and then use a good quality primer. It can be tinted the same color as your finish coat.
