Will I get a good finish if I spray paint this shelf?

I want to spray on primer from a can, then either roll on latex paint with a high density foam roller, or spray the topcoat, too.
ive done this to several shelves and they look great!
I did my bookcases that looked just like that almost. I lightly sanded it down and sprayed on the primer. First try I did not shake the primer as long as I should have and it came out with very fine raised bumps not just air bubbles but actual grainy bumps, so make sure you shake and shake some more your spray can of primer.
I let it dry then lightly sanded again and rolled on plain acrylic paint turned out great. Because I was going to be using the bookcase and it would be getting heavy usage of things going on and off again( I used it in my garage for extra canned food storage. I sprayed it with a couple coats of clear.
Been in the garage now for 3-4 years holding up great.
The key is the primer. I like Kilnz (spelling?) I wasnt to fond of bullseye, but thats just my opinion.
Though some say easier to spray paint on. I kept getting drips so decided to go with the rolling
Depends on how good you are at using the spray cans......
Rough it up first by sanding, so the paint will have a rough surface to adhere to it. Then remove all sanding dust before priming. Use thin coats when spraying and stand back far enough. This is so you won't have drips form.
If you spray, just make sure you do thin coats, even if it means lots of coats to get the coverage you need.
