I re-purpose many items all the time. I like to save money and I like to create to make it mine. All the items in this wreath are repurposed from years gone by.
All items in my storage closet and Christmas containers
On large round platter (very old but durable to hold weight) I placed 5 pieces of double face tape. One in center and 4 around sides.
I then placed my 6 year old wreath on top of the taped areas and pressed down firmly. I then placed my clear glass vase in center. Make sure vase is flat on bottom to lay properly.
Now this is where the fun started. I played with several different ornaments, pine cones of various sizes and shapes as well as sprigs of glitter pieces and seeing what would work. I found that I needed something white to bring out the red and I found two long sprigs of white accent and snipped the white stems in pieces to arrange around the centerpiece.
I wasn't sure about this?
Or this?
Or this?
This is my completed centerpiece. I did put gold, silver and white in it and if you like instead of ornaments in the vase you could use a candle if you desire.

Very clever, was about to put away the leftover ornaments. This will look great on the table in the patio.

Absolutely beautiful!! Love doing with things from past and once again, I have some gorgeous ornaments a friend gave as she sold her large home downsizing to RV traveling..Couldn't sell them at yard sale for $1.00 a box of 20.. Have 3 boxes of assorted and cranberry faux strings and who knows...Added some of them to my own decorations and may just do what you just did for a Christmas dinner..MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND MAY THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH....Please once again, remember the ones who are still battling the fires in Ca.

I will certainly remember those who are affected by the fire. Peace on earth, goodwill to men. Creating our own centerpiece is fun especially with recycled items. Enjoy!
